I thought of you and smiled!

Hello all!

We have been off to crappy start to our summer. The weather has been lousy....hot, 'sticky' humid and thunderstorms! Really bad hair weather! The weather forecastors say the next seven days will bring the same. Hopefully, this time they are wrong...***wink!

I have been playing along with Stamp Away With Me.... It's the WPlus 9 Stamp Company Blog. Every other monday they host a new challenge. I love them!

Here is the newest Monday Mood Board...

I have to share something funny with you. After I shot the photos and uploaded them to my blog, I felt there was something about the card I didn't like. I focused for quite a while...and it finally came to me....the chevrons remind me of Charlie Brown's shirt!!! It somewhat killed the card for me.

But anyhow, I used two stamp sets from WPlus 9, Backgrounds and Borders, and Heartfelt Mix. The heart dies coordinate with the stamps. The kraft cardstock is Papertrey Ink. I used  black ink from Hero Arts and razzleberry ink from Color Box. I embossed the last chevron with gold embossing powder from Stampendous.

The labels die is Spellbinders.  The white cord, clear gems and gold sequins are all from Michaels. The white cherry blossom is from The Ribbon Reel. Corner punch is Fiskars.

Thanks for stopping by!

What I Love Most....

Good morning to you!

It is going to be a hot and humid today here in NY. I wish my mother's pool was ready. I guess that means I'll catch up on laundry. :(

I created a card yesterday for the new muse at CASE Study, Lisa Spangler.

Great design and cool colors!

The cardstock and cozy home stamp are from Papertrey Ink.  The doily border stamp and lake house ink are from WPlus 9. The sentiment stamp is Sending Springtime from Paper Sweeties. Corner punch is Fiskars.

I stamped the image and sentiment with Hero Arts cup o' joe shadow ink.  Than colored the image with Copic Markers in E50, E51, E53, and BG10. I also used American Crafts marker in mustard. The tiny rose buds are Recollections. The ribbon and cord are from Michaels. The enamel dots are My Mind's Eye.

Still trying to adjust the color and light for the pictures using LightRoom...not quite there yet.

Thanks for peeking!

Miss you

Hello again!

I want to share a quick post with you tonight.
Fusion Card Challenge...
All I could think of were ribbons...or cutting up my husbands tie!

I used an assortment of ribbons: the top pink and white ribbon is from The Ribbon Reel, the other ribbons are from Michaels. The dies are Spellbinders. The cardstock and sentiment stamp are Papertrey Ink. I scattered some gems from Recollections.

Wow, how bad is the lighting for my cards!!? Too much pink in the background! I don't know how to adjust that. I was playing around with the exposure, tint, temperature and blah, blah, blah!!! I still need alot of practice.

Anyway, thanks for peeking!

Michelle
