Untitled

Good evening!
I have a short post to share with you for a card I made for The Shabby Tea Room...

I want to get the kids in bed and asleep before the thunderstorm comes...they hate the sound!

Here is my card using the colors from the photo...we also had to incorporate fabric and flower/s.

The roses in the vase image is from The Graphics Fairy.   I made a 'quilt' for the background using scraps of papers from My Mind's Eye. I framed the vase image with crochet trim from Recollections.

The buttons are Papertrey Ink. I scattered some gems from Michaels. The ribbon is also Michaels.

The resin keyhole is Melissa Frances. I tried adding some sentiments, but I just did not care for the way it looked. So this card is 'untitled' for now.

Thanks for peeking!

Hello

Ahhhh...it feels good to sit down.
I have been on a cleaning frenzy! Dusting, vacuuming, mopping and the dreaded laundry!
Alas, it all needed to get done!

I made a card yesterday for The Shabby Tea Room, where we have to include a dimensional flower...

And it just so happens that ...
City Crafter Challenge Blog calls for a rose...

I followed the sketch from Mojo Monday

Luckily I included a rose (or two)...
here is my card
The background papers are Die Cuts With a View. The ribbon and pearls are from Michaels. Lately I am having a love/hate relationship with my sewing machine. Probably because I use it to stitch on paper and not it's intended use....to sew garments!

The cabbage rose, leaves and pin are Prima. The twine and button are Papertrey Ink. The beautiful crochet flower doily was made by my mother! The sentiment and black ink are  Hero Arts. The tiny tag die is Flourishes.

The frame is Tattered Angels. The rose image is from Janet. The border is from Die Namics. I used the negative to the crown border. All edges were inked up with PTI vintage cream ink.

Thanks for stopping by tonight!!

My Girl

Hey there!

The card I am sharing with you tonight is not usually my style.  I went out of my comfort zone to create a fun and trendy card. I struggle with these because I usually like symmetry to my designs. Well, onto my card...

All supplies ( except buttons and wood stick) are from Dear Lizzy. This is such a beautiful and soft line of papers, stickers, pinwheels and other embellishments! I have to send a
HUGE  THANK YOU  to Cath from Moxie Fab because I won this set of Dear Lizzie papers and etc...from a random draw... such a generous gift. And I love it all!!!!

So I am entering this card into Tuesday Trigger...
Well, thanks for peeking!
I think I should stick with CAS or shabby chic!

Michelle
